Fun, energetic and effective, our fitness classes are a great way to keep fit and socialise.

At Lifelines we have the widest range of exercise classes in the Luton, Dunstable and Harpenden area. They’re designed for all ages, all levels of fitness, and all ranges of flexibility.

Exercise Classes

A popular and social way to workout, we offer a variety of exercise classes such as Spinning, Boxercise, Dance, Pilates, Yoga plus many more to suit all levels of fitness. Plus your qualified instructors will keep you motivated to help you get the best from your workout.

Better still, all these clasess are FREE during the hours your Lifelines membership is valid for! Venue 360 members and Non-members will pay as they go (see timetable for prices).


Strength
Looking to target a specific area of your body to work on? Then look through out list of strengthening classes to see which best meets your needs. Strength training focuses on certain parts of the body to help build/re-build your muscles.


Cardio
If you’re a keen runner or cycler, we have a series of cardio training classes that’ll help you improve your chosen discipline.


Seniors

Here at Lifelines we have a number of classes and activities suitable for senior members. Our conditioning classes are free as part of your membership plus there are other activities available such as indoor and outdoor racket sports for a small fee.

Absolute Abs
Working all areas of the lower back and abdominal region, a superb body core workout in 30 minutes. This class is suitable for all levels.

Body Blast (H.I.I.T.)
A total body toning class using different equipment i.e Kettlebells, great for legs and core work. This class is suitable for all levels.

Box4ward
A technique class based on boxing moves incorporating an aerobic and upper body workout. Based around a circuit. Get fit without getting hit! Suitable for all ages and abilities.

Circuit Mania
A highly challenging motivational workout to condition your whole body using aerobics and resistance stations. Intermediate level.

Circuit Box
A balanced mix of circuit training and boxing fitness. The class will include upper and lower body toning integrated with advanced fat-burning techniques. This is a class tailored for all fitness levels so do not be afraid to come along and join us!

Legs, Bums & Tums
This body conditioning class will target those problem areas in a fun and effective way. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

Tri-Training
This class is for experienced exercisers it will take you through all the training needed for a triathlon, running, cycling and endurance. Not for the faint hearted!

Studio Strength
A group weights program challenging every major muscle in your body. Using weights and music Studio Strength will strengthen and tone your body in record time. Suitable for all levels.

Core & Abs
This class aims to improve your core strength around the abdominal area. Mainly a floor based class using exercise balls, medicine balls and other equipment to improve posture, tone and strength. Helps to provide support to the spine and improve lower back pain while helping to reduce the risk of injury.

Running Club
Our running club is suitable for all levels of fitness from complete beginners to marathon runners. Group and buddy training is organised with others of similar abilities.

Body Blast

Box4ward

Studio Cycling
If you prefer two wheels to two feet, our studio cycling is a must. Led by an instructor, the Intermediate level cardiovascular class will increase your fitness level and tone thighs and buttocks.

H.I.I.T High Intensity Interval Training
An exercise method alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods. These short, intense workouts aim to improve athletic capacity and condition, glucose metabolism and fat burning.

Yoga
Both a physical and mental workout, our Yoga classes can offer life-changing physical and mental benefits. Led by our highly qualified instructors, classes focus on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost your physical and mental well-being.

Pilates
Pilates will focus on core strength and core stability. We aim to help correct your posture and breathing, and increase back and abdominal strength. These classes will re-invigorate your mind and body.

Senior Conditioning
Our senior conditioning class runs from 11am every Monday and Thursday. This low impact conditioning class focuses on your legs, bottom and tummy. During the winter months, the classes will be held in our state-of-the-art sports hall, but in the warmer spring and summer months, this rewarding activity will be moved outdoors.

Senior Sports
This fun exercise class covers a variety of sport from basketball to circuits. Held in the sportshall during the winter months, in the spring this will become a walking activity.


Additional Information

Most classes will provide you with equipment but we request you to bring a small towel (to clean up your sweat!) and some water to drink, as some of the classes are quite strenuous. You may also want to provide your own boxing gloves and pads if you start attending Circuit Box, Box4ward or Inter Box regularly.

For non-members, classes are available as pay as you go and will need to be booked 7 days in advance.

Members may pre-book classes up to 14 days in advance.


Cancellation of Classes

Isn’t it frustrating when you can’t get a place in your favourite class? Even more so when you find out that a space was available because someone booked but didn’t turn up, or cancelled at the very last minute! It may surprise you to learn that this happens at least a few times here every week.

Lifelines members

Lifelines members have the option to cancel a fitness class without charge, up to 15mins before the start of the class (so if the class starts at 5:00pm, you'll be able to cancel up until 4:45pm). Any cancellations or no shows after the 15min cut off will result in a £1.50 charge being applied to your account (unless your place is taken by somebody else).

Venue 360 members & Non-members

If you are a Venue 360 member or non-member, then 48hrs notice is required to avoid a late cancellation charge at full cost. No refunds will be offered or cancellation charge waived unless we manage to re-book your slot.
