We are delighted to announce a major refurbishment of Lifelines will be taking place from Monday 24th October 2022.
The project will last approx. 8 weeks with an estimated re-opening on Monday 19th December.
A substitute gym will be set up in our sports hall for members to use.
Memberships* will automatically receive a discount during this time or you have an option to freeze your membership.
Ground floor changing rooms / showers will be operational as usual throughout the closure.

New cardiovascular Technogym equipment
New free weights, benches and introduction of many new weight based machines
New intelligent lighting scheme with colour LED lights creating different atmospheres
Complete redecoration with the introduction of new feature wooden panelling
New state of the art flooring
New sound system and large screen TVs
Removal of the old raised areas to open up the gym
New equipment layout - most cardiovascular equipment positioned along the windows
Introduction of a new turnstile access control for added security

Temporary gym during refurbishment:
Whilst Lifelines refurbishment is taking place you will be able to continue your training and exercise classes, as we will be relocating most of the existing equipment and setting up a temporary gym in quarter of the sports hall. Additionally, we will be creating a warm-up and functional fitness area in one of the squash courts. See plan A few more exercise classes will be added to the existing schedule as well as the usual access to free off-peak racket sports. One very popular benefit of your membership will continue, this being your daily hot drink!

Any new members looking to join before the refurbishment are more than welcome, just bear in mind the exciting, upcoming plans and let us know what you would like to do whilst the refurbishment takes place. Please note. We will not be re-opening our health suite once the refurbishment is complete.
