Early feedback has been really positive, with players loving this high quality surface.

Ashcroft High School Class of 1994 Reunion

It’s taken them 30 years to get back together but we are delighted that they finally did, when Ex-Ashcroft High School pupils recently held their school reunion here in the Balcony bar.

“The evening was a huge success. Lots of friendships reignited and more memories to be made in the future. Huge thank you to Venue 360 for being amazing hosts” Laura (reunion attendee)

Our Balcony café bar really is the perfect venue for events such as this, its set up retains that informal ‘pub environment’ but offers great private space for you to have a brilliant night and get together.

So, if you are looking to organise a school reunion, birthday party, anniversary or any other celebration for 80-200 people, give our events team a call on 01582 748225 or visit and fill in an enquiry form.

Hospitality Employee of the Month

In order to thank and celebrate our hardworking Hospitality Team we have decided to introduce Employee of the Month.

Our first award goes to a member of the team who, although is not new to Venue 360, has returned to the fold after a short time away. J’Hyde has hit the ground running, she continues to smile through busy, events shifts and is always happy to help our customers. She shines on the bar during the day and never stops working! Whether happily making coffee or food, or ensuring the day to day tasks are completed to keep our Balcony Bar clean and tidy J’Hyde is a star. Please join us in welcoming her back… we are certainly happy to see her return!

If you would like to nominate a member of our team for Hospitality Employee of the Month please send your nomination by email to, include the name of the team member and your reasons for the nomination. Alternatively you can pop your nomination into the suggestion box in the main entrance. We look forward to your nominations.

More Seniors Benefitting from fitness than ever before!

Our loyal senior members

One of the many strengths of Lifelines, is its welcoming and friendly environment that is contributed to, by its wide range of ages attending. Our seniors category is booming and the reasons behind their dedication are clear—they reap the well-known health and fitness benefits that exercise brings. But it’s more than just physical well-being for our senior members, it’s also about the social connections formed through training together, chatting in the gym, or enjoying post-workout coffee meetups. This is alive and thriving here at Lifelines and great to see.

In acknowledgment of our seniors inspiring commitment, we are proud to now offer free honorary memberships to our eldest male and female members. Congratulations to Cyril and Christine, who epitomise dedication with their years of active participation in both gym sessions and exercise classes here. Radio 1 Big Weekend

We hope that many of you were able to obtain tickets and are looking forward

to the Radio 1 Big Weekend.

The good news is that we have been in touch with the council and attended their recent meeting and they have confi rmed that Gipsy Lane will remain open throughout the event, so we look forward to seeing you here as normal. It is expected to be busier than normal though, so please allow yourself extra time for travel.

Please note. To protect our own members / customers playing sports, visiting the gym, attending a wedding reception... under no circumstances will our car park be able to be used for parking here and attending the music event. Our gates will also be locked each night (earlier than the event finish time) so for various reasons, it cannot be a viable option.

Please visit our news page for further details.

Raimond completes Conqueror challenge

Lifelines instructor Raimond recently visited Egypt to compete in the Conqueror challenge that consists of walking and jogging over 2 days to complete a 75K

distance. Raimond was lucky enough to have the awe-inspiring landscape

around him including the Giza pyramids. The most difficult things to overcome was the 30-degree daily temperatures and the dusty air from the desert. Raimond said the best feeling was actually completing the 75K in those conditions and had always wanted to complete a marathon which is on a similar par, well done Raimond!

New Technogym Pure Hip Thrust Machine

The new Pure Hip Thrust Machine will be arriving by mid-May and will be a

popular piece of equipment for the members, this will allow members to perform the hip thrust exercise without the inconvenience of moving benches around and loading up barbells. It will also free up the Olympic racks at peak time as they are often used to perform this exercise currently. If you’re interested in using this piece of equipment, please ask a member of staff to show you how it works!

These investments are aimed at enhancing your workout experience and ensuring we meet your fitness needs.

Air Conditioning Units ready for Summer!

ensuring they perform at their best. Plus, we’ve installed four new air-conditioning units. With summer on the horizon, you can count on us to deliver top-notch cooling, creating the ideal workout environment for you. Stay comfortable and focused on your fitness goals in a cool environment!

Tchoukball UK National Finals & Awards Evening

Over the weekend of 20th & 21st April, we were honoured to be host venue for the Tchoukball National Finals in our Sports Hall and also be the host venue for their annual awards evening in our Riverside Suite. Over the weekend, teams from Portsmouth, Leeds, Guildford and Bury St. Edmunds all took part, and they were a pleasure to have here.

Tchoukball UK has featured in a previous newsletter and they have been training and competing at Venue 360 for about 18 months now, quite often in preparation for international tournaments. As a quick recap, Tchoukball is a fast-paced and fun-filled sport suited for all ages and abilities. It’s uniquely positioned as one of the few mixed-gender and non-contact sports in the UK. It is kind of a mixture of handball and volleyball, requiring plenty of throwing and catching of the ball.

We would like to thank Tchoukball UK for hosting your national events and awards with us and we look forward

to more events here in the future. For further information about Tchoukball, please visit their website
