easyJet holidays unpacks at Venue 360

We were thrilled to welcome easyJet holidays to Venue 360 for their recent quarterly conference - a day made even more memorable by glorious sunshine and our signature hospitality.
Over 200 easyJet holidays team members, including CEO Garry Wilson, gathered in our Riverside Suite to share company reflections and updates.
The conference was followed by time together, where the team were able to catch up and enjoy drinks and pizza in our Balcony Café Bar and gardens.
It was great to host such a forward-thinking and dynamic organisation, known especially for their orange spirit and we were proud to support such an engaging day for an organisation doing great things in the travel industry.
Frappuccinos & Smoothies are Back!

Martin represents England in Hockey Match

You may remember reading about Lifelines Member Martin’s love for Hockey in a previous addition of the Venue Circular, well now Martin will be playing for England against Holland for the over 80s category. Martin has recently also represented England against Wales in a separate competition! What an achievement, well done Martin!
Indoor Tennis Centre Roof Repairs Underway

Following the successful repairs to the main building roof last year, we’re pleased to share that Kevin and his team (K&M Roofing) of expert roofers and scaffolders are returning - this time to tackle the ongoing leaks in our indoor tennis centre.
This is no small job; the roof spans a large area and has developed increasing leaks over recent years. Kevin’s team are confident they can fix the issues and keep the courts dry. Scaffolding is in place and work is now ongoing.
For our tennis players and coaches this is a very welcome improvement, no more getting wet during heavy downpours! Once the roof is sealed, we will also be giving the floor a deep-clean to try and remove the water stains and get the floor looking great again.
This project is one of many maintenance improvements planned for the year ahead, as part of our ongoing commitment to invest back into the facilities we all share and enjoy.

Hospitality Employee of the Month

This month we are celebrating Kaylee as our Employee of the Month! Kaylee has been working with us now for almost a year and has shown her continued loyalty to our department.
Kaylee joined us from University during a vocational year working with Luton Town Football Club. She often comes straight from their grounds to ours to work the evening shift, and is on hand to work our weekend events also. Kaylee is a popular member of our team who will be missed when she heads back off to university to finish her studies.
Well done Kaylee, thank you for you continued hard work!

We would like to thank everyone who joined in with our fun Easter competition. We had many entries with guesses ranging from 85 – 2046. We can now confirm the number of eggs in the Jar was 396… Our winner is Sharon Baker who is a valued member of our gym and often pops in for a coffee. Well done Sharon you were the closest guess with 400!
Member of the Month

The member of the month goes to Anya who has been so consistent with her training program over the last few months, not only always regular she starts as soon as the gym is open at 6am! Anya also attends the early morning grueling strength and conditioning class to give a bit of variation in her training. Well done Anya!

What Is Sciatica?
The sciatic nerve is the longest and thickest nerve in your body that starts in your lower back and runs through your glutes and down each leg. Inflammation of the sciatic nerve is called sciatica. It can cause a burning or shooting pain in your glutes or a pain that goes all the way down your leg often on one side.
How long does sciatica last?
Because sciatica pain is often intense, you might think something is seriously wrong. But about 3 out of 4 people with sciatica usually improve in a few weeks. Moving more and sitting less usually helps.
Should You Do Sciatica Exercises if You Have Pain?
Gentle movement helps relieve sciatica pain. It’s OK to rest for the first couple of days after a sciatica attack. But don’t stay in bed or sit for long periods. Start doing gentle back strengthening and stretching exercises as soon as possible. You can slowly return to your normal activity level over 2-3 weeks. But for the first 6 weeks, avoid heavy lifting and movements that involve twisting your back.
The following exercises will help so if you need some help with these please speak to a member of the team!
Knee-to-chest stretch
Standing hamstring stretch
Pelvic tilt
Glute bridge & bird dog pose
Lying glute stretch
Bike / walking / cross trainer
